Mickey Rourke Hints Toward Steroid Usage Updated

Mickey Rourke, the Golden Globe Award winner for his role as Randy 'The Ram' Robinson in the movie, The Wrestler, hinted towards using steroids to achieve his muscle bound look.
Rourke worked out twice a day with an Israeli cage fighter and consumed seven meals a day to bulk up for the part. In a new interview with Men's Journal he suggests he had a little extra help to speed up the process - by indulging in a drug synonymous with the world of pro wrestling. When asked if he took steroids, the star replies, "When I'm a wrestler, I behave like a wrestler."
Update: Mickey Rourke has hit back at reports he took steroids in a bid to get in shape for gritty new movie The Wrestler, insisting the media has gone too far with comments he made in a magazine interview. Referring to his quote (as seen above) he now insists he didn't use growth hormones or controversial sports drugs to enhance his physique. He states, "I did some stuff. You wouldn't classify it as steroids, but I did some heavy duty supplements... but not the regular stuff."

that's too bad.....hope he is o.k. and takes care of himself from now on...
Everyone seems so concerned about mickey rourke's plastic surgery; this is typical hollywood bs. Im a physician and noone seems to recognize or comment on the fact that he is very clubbed which typically means 3 things and none of them are good.
its usually representative of cyanotic heart disease, bronchoalveolar carcinoma or hepatocellular carcinoma. Given his history my money would be on the latter.
