Heidi Klum Slams Designer For Branding Heavy Her 'Heavy'

Supermodel-turned-TV host Heidi Klum has slammed a German fashion designer who dubbed her "too heavy" to model.
The 35-year-old mum of three, who rose to fame modelling lingerie for Victoria's Secret, was criticised by designer Wolfgang Joop last week (begs09Feb09). He told editors at German website Bild.com that Klum had become too fat to walk the catwalk. But the German stunner, now an Emmy Award-nominated host of Project Runway and Germany's Next Top Model, insists her fashion career is moving forward. A spokesperson for Klum tells the New York Post,
"Wolfgang is obviously trying to revive his sagging career and get press for himself by riding Heidi's coattails."
And Klum's Project Runway mentor Tim Gunn has also rushed to her defence, blasting Joop's allegations as hurtful and absurd. He tells the New York Daily News,
"It's totally ridiculous! (Heidi) is a sensitive soul, and it's very troubling to her. If she's fat, other women should throw themselves off a train. I can wrap my hand around her bicep."

Yeah! Haha, I love Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn!
He was just being honest. Heidi isn't runway material. She's way too curvy. But she's a prefect VS model.
That IS ridiculous. There is nothing "too heavy" about Heidi. So she isn't rail thin looking like she hasn't eaten in a month (AHEM Lindsay Lohan). She looks great.
She's been too heavy for the runway for most of her model career, but by all means, she's not fat. I wish I was as thin as she is. Maybe Wolfgan Joop wanted to be polite and not use the word old. In my opinion Heidi Klum is far too old for the runway, be it Victoria Secret or any other clothes range.
Great Blog!
