Although Adele has been on a health kick, the singing starlet wore four pairs of Spanx during her Grammy performance in February!  Geez, I can’t even wear one without sometimes feeling suffocated – let alone four!

The founder of Spanx, Sara Blakely, told Life & Style that Adele is the first celebrity she’s heard of to wear that many at one time.

“Spanx used to be the celebrity slimming secret and has become the red-carpet staple they love to talk about,” Sara tells Life & Style. “We’ve heard about wearing double and triple pairs of Spanx, but I’m thrilled to hear that Adele is our first quadruple. Now that’s commitment!”

A commitment it was.  Adele’s Spanx decision seemed to have dictated what she wore the night of the Grammy’s – which was a Giorgio Armani gown.

“I had like three or four pairs of Spanx on that night,” she said. “I loved it. I actually had another dress made for the Grammys, but I passed out in it. I had a corset, and I was like, ‘I can’t wear that,’ so I ended up wearing this at short notice.”

However, Adele had to let loose a bit when she sang “Someone Like You” at the Grammys, to get her full breath needed to sing.

“I took a couple pairs off when I sang at the Grammys,” she said.
