Yup, you read the headline right! Hamid Castro is a fitness professional and has been training clients in their home with NO gym equipment necessary – and even more importantly his clients see results!
Fit Celeb had to know, how does he do it!? In a short Q&A here’s
FC: What’s the one house item you could use mostly for helping you
workout at home?
HC: It may seem funny, but filling up a milk carton with water and using
it as a dumb bell can be used for people who do not want to buy any
equipment. A lot of the time no equipment is needed, simple workouts
like lunges, push ups and jumping jacks with the right stretching
every morning or night is a perfect to get the heart rate up and
FC: How much space do you need about to get a decent workout at home?
Have you ever found yourself spatially challenged?
HC: We generally do not need much space, around 15 by 12FT. Space has
never been an issue, we have came across floors that are too hard like
wood floors so we would just bring a mat for our clients.
FC: Going into people’s houses to train, do you also clean out their
refrigerators/cabinets and rid them of the “bad” foods?
HC: We have had cases where our clients wanted us to give them a grocery list and help
them organize their cabinets and refrigerator so it is easy for them
to make their meals or shakes.
FC: What do you find challenging about training clients at home?
HC: I think the challenges sometimes are pets such as dogs that tend to be
in the way during the workout. The beauty of in home personal training
is all the workouts and equipment is brought to the clients home. They
get a personalized workout at the door so it takes away from excuses
to not workout. All they have to do is have the desire to get in shape
and our trainers will do the rest.
