June 9, 2012 A very pregnant Kourtney Kardashian spent the morning at the Farmer’s Market with her son Mason in Los Angeles, California.
Kourtney Kardashian is expecting her baby girl any day now! As for now she is enjoying some alone time with her baby boy, Mason Dash Disick at the farmer’s market.
By Kourtney choosing to select her produce from a local farmer’s market she is making several wise decisions.
When shopping at a local farmer’s market you are receiving the freshest fruits and veggies you can possibly but. Even the freshest of the produce at a supermarket is most likely several days old. In order to arrive at the supermarket it needed to be shipped there from miles away in refrigerated trucks. Not like farmer’s markets! You can rest soundly knowing that produce you are purchasing was most likely picked that morning by the individual that owns that stand.
The produce at farmer’s markets is more organic and you can bet it is seasonal. Some nutritionists and scientists suggest eating seasonally available foods is better for your body, because humans ate seasonal produce for thousands of years before refrigerated shipping changed all that.
Kourtney Kardashian is not only helping little Mason eat properly and displaying great parenting by showing him healthy habits; but she is also helping her unborn baby girl by providing her with fresh, ripe and organic fruits and vegetables.
The oldest sister of the Kardashian clan, Kourtney Kardashian revealed:
I make my own baby food.
To Parenting Magazine, which her and Mason were on the cover of.
I steam and puree fruits and vegetables, and they last for like four days. Mason pretty much loves everything. I gave him red beets, and it got all over his face, which made the funniest picture. He also loves sweet potatoes, carrots, and yams. Sometimes I mix pureed peaches, pears, bananas, or apples with plain yogurt or an all-natural organic jelly. I have this great book called Super Baby Food that’s full of ideas.
