Laziness Leading to a Double Increase in Cancer??

diet-beauty-health

Lazy Sundays and a daily glass of wine aren’t what’s causing the increase in cancer, but the midnight runs to McDonalds, binge drinking, smoking one pack a day and watching hours upon hours of TV laying in the same position on the potato will highly increase your chances of developing cancer.

According to Female First,

Unhealthy eating, alcohol consumption, smoking and a lack of exercise will lead to the number of global cancer cases almost doubling in the next 20 years.

Doubling!?!?! In the next 20 years?! That’s just outrageous! Can you believe that? Because it won’t register in my brain. With so much awareness about what’s healthy around us, you would think that the rate of cancer would decrease right?

Well, the problem with society today is that unhealthy food is becoming more and more readily available and affordable to us as healthy, organic foods become increasingly unavailable for the middle and lower class as prices for healthier food climb upwards.

Besides dietary issues, laziness is sweeping across the world. With technology taking over, everything you need can be available for you. For example, a universal remote allows everything to be available in one convenient place, so when you’re watching TV you don’t even have to even get up to turn on the lights. This type of laziness is contagious within families, friends, etc. And this laziness translates into school, work, and most importantly, exercise. Or rather, lack of exercise. With the US leading in the rate of obesity, exercise is critical as portions in food increase.

And of course practicing minimal to no drinking and avoiding smoking of any sort will steer you away from health complications and worst of all, cancer, in the future.

I don’t know about you, but I want to live a long, healthy life and avoid as many health problems as possible! Let’s defy what is predicted to jump double of what the rate of cancer is today and take care of ourselves to decrease the rate of cancer! Live long and prosper!
