A few days ago, on Tuesday (April 21), I had an intimate lunch with American Idol’s Season 3 runner up, Diana DeGarmo. Let me just say she is a doll and a sweetheart!
Keeping busy with the musical revue she’s in in L.A. – Back To Bacharach And David – she will be one of the judges on a panel for the GetScouted.com’s national competition. GetScouted.com is the world’s leading private online marketplace for talent and scouts, and is launching it’s “60 Seconds of Fame” talent search.
Over lunch I was able to squeeze in a few “fit” questions. I found out that her favorite form of exercise are “butt workouts,” “band” and “ankle weight exercises” – while her least favorite is “cardio” because she hates being sweaty.
Her favorite healthy snack? “Snap peas, hummus and jicama.” I had to look up jicama since I didn’t know what it was. In case you’re wondering as well, it’s a mexican turnip.
Her guilty pleasure? “Key Lime Pie.”
And of course, her favorite FitCeleb? “Jessica Simpson and Jenny McCarthy.” She keeps photos of Jenny’s April Shape magazine cover on her coffee table for motivation.
