*Warning* I do no suggest eating while reading this post, especially if squimish. 

If you ever heard a comment that refers to being skinny or eating as if you or someone had a tapeworm?  Apparently these type of comments have been influencing some women to consider choosing to ingest a tapeworm into their body in order to lose weight.  

Tyra Banks had two women on The Tyra Show yesterday that seriously wanted to do this.  Tyra showed disgusting, informative and the reality of so-called "tapeworm diet," AND still these women were all for it!  By the way, I wanted to puke while watching these videos.  

It wasn't until Tyra had a doctor explain to them what a tapeworm does in your body, and he pulled out a jar of a 30-foot-long tape worm that can, yes can, grow inside your body.  Finally, the women said they were no longer interested in going through with the process, but for them to even think of doing it in the first place made me want to slap them upside the head and say "what's wrong with you?!"  I think they are both beautiful women who have low self-esteem.  Hopefully they will believe in themselves and try to live a healthy lifestyle, even if it means that they aren't their "perfect weight."  

Unfortunately I can't find any video on the segment, but if I do, I will be sure to post.  And just so people know, ingesting a tapeworm is not only gross, creepy and icky - it's also very dangerous and can be deadly.
