Today Celebrate Title IX, 40 Years Of Women Involved In Sports

Title-IX-vertical

Today is the day that we celebrate 40 years of women being able to access sports. I can’t imagine what my life would be like without having been involved in sports, and the affect that would have caused not only in the sport industry but the health and wellness industry as well.

Because of sports and the empowerment it gives women, I have been influenced and motivated to live a healthy lifestyle. I found a passion for fitness through playing sports – a passion I may not have had if females weren’t allowed to ever play sports. But it’s just not a healthy lifestyle that sports promote — it empowers women through determination and commitment building self-confidence.

Many of us have been directly or indirectly affected by Title IX.   Our approach in celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Title IX is to inspire forward; based on the legislation that broke down barriers, created opportunities and changed the rules.  Athletes who have and continue to “play by their own rules” help to pave the way for future generations.  Our campaign will continue to inspire and encourage today’s athlete to “Make the Rules” and set the stage for generations behind them.

We will set out to inspire the future generation of athletes to “Make the Rules”.
