A newly svelte former Alaska governor, Sarah Palin, is sharing her age-defying diet and workout secrets.
The 48-year-old turned heads when she sported a thinner figure in L.A. earlier this month.
“Our family is writing a book on fitness and self-discipline focusing on where we get our energy and balance as we still eat our beloved homemade comfort foods,” said Palin, who didn’t say whether she has a book contract yet or when it will be published.
“We promise you what we do works and allows a fulfilling quality of life and sustenance anyone can enjoy.”
Being active is nothing new for Palin. Being a runner for most of her adult life, running 5-10 miles a day, except when she was pregnant (5 times) – she still kept active by participating in aerobic fitness classes.
Back in 2009, Palin told Runner’s World, “Conventional running is my sanity.”
And she added in 2010:
“My family and I eat a healthy diet heavy in wild Alaskan seafood, moose, caribou and fresh fruit.”
“My biggest pitfall is breakfast. I know it’s the most important meal of the day but I still haven’t bought into it. I hate to admit it, but a skinny white-chocolate mocha is my staple in the morning.”
Perhaps First Lady Michelle Obama may endorse the book – but I doubt that considering Palin isn’t on board with Mrs. Obama’s “Let’s Move” anti-obesity program. Palin says,
“Instead of a government thinking that they need to take over and make decisions for us according to some politician or politician’s wife priorities, just leave us alone. Get off our back!”
There’s no date as to when the book may be published.
